FALL 2024

Early Literacy Classes

Each class is made up of a year-long curriculum, broken into two semesters: Fall and Spring. Students enrolled in the Fall are guaranteed a spot for the Spring.

Letter Collectors

Preschool (ages 3-4)

Our littlest learners love to become letter collectors! They look forward to "meeting" new letter friends each week, introduced as characters with pictures, stories, motions, and songs that help children remember the sounds they make. During each class session, children also engage in an interactive read aloud, play with sounds in words, explore letter shapes, draw, color, and create.

Focus Skills: uppercase letter names and sounds, concepts of print, vocabulary, rhyme, alliteration, beginning sound identification, pre-writing shapes and lines, recognizing and spelling your own name

*Must turn 3 on or before Sept. 1, 2024

*Must be reliably potty-trained

Reading Pals

Pre-K (ages 4-5)

Reading Pals is a motivating, hands-on class that builds reading readiness and confidence, sending children into Kindergarten excited about learning and reading. Children will learn the lowercase letter names and sounds, and by the spring semester, some will begin to sound out and spell words. This class has a strong emphasis on playing with sounds in words and developing the phonemic awareness skills critical to becoming successful readers.

Give your child the

best chance at succeeding with learning to read.

The truth is, many school-age children experience tremendous difficulties with learning to read.

With joyful and enriching early literacy classes that are expertly crafted based on the Science of Reading, we can close the gap before it opens.

Jenna is absolutely incredible! The change we have witnessed in our daughter after only a few lessons is truly astounding. She absolutely loves and looks forward to her “reading day”! Jenna has built her confidence and increased her understanding of letter sounds in a very short amount of time. She makes learning enjoyable and fun while still achieving tangible results. We are so thankful to have found Log House Literacy and cannot recommend Jenna enough!

Parent of Pre-K Student

Log House Literacy is a dream. I am dyslexic and I tried to read all the books and buy all the products on child enrichment and learning, and found myself never opening any of them or it just didn't click. We started going weekly to Log House Literacy when my daughter was 3 years old. She is now 4 and knows all her letters and sounds, and wants to read all the time. My daughter is excited about learning, she is confident at school, and she is ready for Pre-K and Kindergarten!
